Santiago Calatrava vineyard design

Calatrava has designed lots of wierd stuff, but I think he nailed this design for a vineyard in Spain. A dynamic and organic architectural expression helps this gigantic building fit very well to the site and its rural surroundings.

Deep glulam timber beams, the longest of them 42 metres are rising and falling and creating the wavy roof, supposed to resemble barrels laying side by side connected by a band of silver (the roof is clad in aluminium).
