This project shows, in my opinion, a successful integration of a contemporary element to an 80 year old brick building. The steep pitched roof is clearly a driving force behind the design of the extension, which seen from the garden helps to create a seemingly continuous roof surface.
Looking straight in to the house, one can see the modern interior in relation to the exterior of the original house, appearing as if it is a planar layer that lifts the house up and makes it sit neatly on top of the modern addition.
