The day started with a lecture on photography by a mental, but a very cool, lecturer. His name was Vince Wane, and he managed to hold a whole lecture without teaching us anything, but the things he showed were quite inspiring!
So, just to follow him up on a few things I found interesting…
These compositions are by Jan Dibbets, a Dutch conceptual artist. He was one of the first artists to recognize large-scale colour photography as a medium in its own, and much of his work is based on contrasting elements with implemented geometrical and features.
Here working with perspective
Another artist and photographer is the french George Rousse… I think his work speaks for itself, and believe it or not, this is NOT some photoshop work, it is all hand made!
